This & That

These pics show some of the damage around here from the bad storm we had. The water washed out an entire section of road just a few miles from our house. Check out the huge metal culverts that got swept away from the water. There must have been a LOT of water flowing EXTREMELY fast to be able to move all of those heavy culverts all the way out into the field - YIKES!!!! It's amazing that that could even happen. I wonder how far they would have gone if the trees weren't there to stop them?

Bryan is still trying to clean up/repair from the storm damage. We are having a carpet cleaning business come out on Thursday and then Bryan will have to put down new padding. We are hoping that we just need to have the carpet cleaned and won't have to replace it. Here's a couple of pics of our basement...

Aiden getting ready to enjoy a ride in the Burley behind my bike...

Check out that smile :)

Gavin's neck/head control is finally good enough for the Bumbo (or bumble bee as Aiden calls it). He loves to watch everything that is happening around him. When the neighbor kids come over to play with Aiden on the deck, I put Gavin in front of the window in his bouncy seat so he can watch them play - he LOVES it!

Last week was a very hot week around here - upper 80's and low 90's. So I got Aiden's pool out and the little water rat had a blast (and I admit that even though it is a kiddie pool I used it to cool off too!). We even got to enjoy my sister-in-law's parents' pool which is a "regular" pool - not a kiddie one! Fun!

Since it has been so hot outside I spoiled Aiden by getting him an ice cream treat. Can you see why I made him eat it outside on the deck????? :) Clean up is a piece of cake - see the pool in the background? :)

While Bryan was mowing the lawn the other night, Aiden decided it would be funny to go out on the deck and get him with a squirt gun. In revenge, Bryan got the other squirt gun and got Aiden back. The battle raged on and I think Aiden ended up the winner! Since it was hot outside Bryan didn't put up too much of a fight. :)

More giggles from Gavin - enjoy! :)
