My Boys With My Glasses

Here's a couple of cute pics! Aiden and Gavin both love trying my glasses on so I took a pic of each of them tonight! (Please ignore tonight's dinner on Aiden's face!) Gavin has to tilt his head back to keep them on otherwise they slide right off his face!

"Warm"

It's funny how a Michigan winter can alter your perception of warm. Today it was 42 degrees when I got home from work and it felt and smelled warm. In Florida I'm sure people would consider 42 degrees freezing cold but around here it's WARM! Especially after having several days of negative temps the past few weeks.

To celebrate the warm weather I took the boys outside to ride their bike/tractor! They had fun! :)

I Love You!!

Yes, my two little munchkins can get on my nerves, drive me crazy and test my patience but I love them more than I could have ever imagined! My boys light up my life and I am SO incredibly blessed to be their mother! Aiden and Gavin I LOVE YOU!!!!

Of course, the other "boy" in my life isn't too shabby either! :) He was so sweet today - brought flowers over to my school, made my favorite dinner and made a peanut butter and chocolate dessert - he knows me well :) Bryan, I LOVE YOU too!!

A Day Full of Fun!

We had a fun-filled day today! We signed up Aiden for 6 weeks of swimming lessons (Saturdays only) and he had his first lesson today. I think the water may have been a little cold since he is sucking his belly in so much in this picture! :)

Uncle Jeff called this morning to see if the boys wanted to go sledding today. So after swimming lessons we headed over to Ellie and Aubrey's house. The boys had so much fun!

Even though Bryan and I don't celebrate Valentine's Day we decided to get the boys a little something! We let them open their presents two days early so they have something new and fun to play with this weekend.

Since our Christmas cookies turned out so good, I decided to make Valentine cookies this year! The boys loved decorating (I even got Bryan to frost them for me! :) ) and especially eating them!

Play Dough

I have to admit that I am not a huge fan of play dough. I think I'm too anal to like it. Little pieces break off of it and make a mess and (don't laugh) I hate when the colors mix together - I like to keep them all separate and nice and neat. However, I feel like a bad mommy when I don't let my boys play with it due to my own hangups. They love it so I give in on days that I can handle a mess and can handle mixed colors! Lucky for them today was one of those days :) They had lots of fun and I just pretended to not notice the mess and I tried very hard not lose it when Aiden MIXED THE COLORS TOGETHER - AHHHH!!!! :)

I love this picture because Aiden is concentrating so hard on cutting his play dough that he is sticking his tongue out and Gavin is doing what he always does - watching what his big brother is doing with the play dough so he can imitate him! :)

Snow Day #3!!

Wow, I totally can't believe my school had three snow days in a row (Wednesday, Thursday and today!) What a great unexpected mini vacation from school! :) The first snow day was due to the blizzard and the second one was because snow plows hadn't had a chance to plow out subdivisions, side roads, and complexes - they were still concentrating on keeping the main roads cleared. Today it was because the sidewalks hadn't been cleared and our district has enough students who walk to school that it was a concern - can't have them walking in the street which would be the only option when there is 3 feet of snow covering the sidewalks!

Today Aiden, Gavin and I went to Deanna's Playhouse with our babysitter Jessica and her daughter Emma. The kids had a blast and were able to burn up some energy after being couped up in the house for way too long!

February Fury!

We had a huge blizzard overnight and this morning which meant SNOW DAY!!!! My school cancelled school last night already so I was able to sleep in this morning (okay so it was only an hour later than normal but still a nice treat!) Poor Gavin is feeling pretty miserable today (double ear infection, runny nose, cough, fever, etc.) so he stayed inside but Aiden and I went out for a little bit. The snow was up to Aiden's shoulders in the driveway because it was stacked up from the snowblower. The rest of it was between his knees and waist!
