Thanks to Caillou Aiden is sleeping is his "big boy bed" again! On the weekends Aiden and I take naps together - oh how I LOVE the weekends! Anyway, on Sunday as we were laying in my bed watching some TV winding down for a nap we caught an episode of Caillou. I don't really remember what the episode was about but at one point Caillou went to take a nap. Luckily I zoned back in right in time to notice that Caillou was sleeping in a "big boy bed." I quickly pointed that out to Aiden and made a huge deal about it. Later that evening I went into his bedroom when he wasn't looking and removed all of his floor sleeping gear and moved his pillow, blanket, Woobie, and Mahi to his bed. When it came time to go to sleep for the night I told Aiden that he was going to sleep in his big boy bed just like Caillou. He didn't go for it at first but after I made a huge deal about being just like Caillou he was more for it. I told him that Caillou, his cousins Trenten and Austin, his friend Logan, etc. all slept in big boy beds. "Clifford too?" Aiden asked! "Umm, yeah, sure Clifford sleeps in a big boy bed too," I responded. I was about to confirm that anyone and anything slept in big boy beds at that point! Whatever! It worked!

Aiden only woke up twice during the night Sunday night (but was pretty easy to get back to sleep) and only once last night. The first pic is from Sunday night - as you can tell, even in his sleep, I'm not too sure he was exactly thrilled about it. I think (and hope) that he will sleep better in his bed than on the floor.
On a side note.... here's another Aiden funny. Although Aiden's vocabulary is getting larger and larger every day, he still doesn't know exactly how to use the words correctly in a sentence (poor kid, English is such a hard language). For example, when he wants to do something he says, "My do it" instead of "I do it" or "Daddy pick my up?" instead of "Daddy pick me up?" The other day Sparky was barking at something outside and Aiden's eyes lit up as he said "Sparky woofing! Sparky woofing!" Can't blame him for saying that - when you ask him what does the dog say of course his answer is "woof" so it only makes sense for him to put that together and make the statement "Sparky woofing"! :)
