I was SO excited for Easter this year. It was the first time I got to dye Easter eggs and I was excited to do it (with Aiden of course). It was also the first year that we decided to start setting some Easter traditions for our family - dying Easter eggs, an Easter egg hunt, and Easter baskets. Since I had never done any of those things before I had to figure out how it all went. I made a few mistakes (I didn't know the Easter bunny was the one who came to the house to hide the eggs - I had shown Aiden the eggs ahead of time - oops!) but I'm sure neither Aiden nor Gavin will remember next year so I'll do it right then!
Aiden and I had fun dying the Easter eggs! I didn't realize how messy that could be but we managed to keep the mess to a minimum!
Aiden showing off the umbrella that the Easter bunny put in his Easter basket (and then actually getting to use it in the rain!)
Gavin with the soccer ball and orange cones the Easter bunny put in his basket!
Aiden showing off his monster towel from his Easter basket (and trying to look scary!)
Like I said, we have really been enjoying the beautiful spring weather! Aiden has finally been able to play with the T-ball set he got for Christmas! We have also taken quite a few bike rides already too! Gavin LOVES to be outside and run all around. He likes to play with Sparky outside and throw his ball for him. We have also been to the park a few times. Gavin LOVES the swings and Aiden likes taking his bike along to ride on the path they have there.
A cute after-the-bath pic! :)
Gavin's first John Deere (of course) lawn mower ride with Daddy (and Aiden's first for this year)!
Aiden started swimming lessons this weekend. His cousin Austin is in the same class as him so they were excited to see each other there.
After much begging, I finally got Aiden's Gator out for the first time yesterday. Gavin got his first Gator ride from Aiden and LOVED it! Here's a video of them riding together (notice all of the stuff that HAS to be hauled around using the Gator!)...
If Gavin could talk: "Move over Aiden, I want to drive now!"
