Two Weeks

I can't believe I have been on break for two weeks already! Time sure flies when you are having fun!! :) Here's what we have been up to...

Playing with friends (Hungry, Hungry Hippos is the BEST game ever!!  Even the little kids can get in on the action!)...

Trying new recipes (discovered that Gavin LOVES guacamole!)...

Mini golf (both boys first time)...

Aiden got a hole-in-one on the 7th hole!!

Bike parade at the local library (along with the reading program we have the boys signed up for)...

Swimming lessons for Aiden (playdate for Gavin!)

And a tender-hearted big brother that climbed into little brother's crib to comfort him during a storm...

I would like to request year-round summer please!!!!

Day 1

Ahhhhhh... the first official day of summer vacation and I'm LOVING it!!!!   Lazy morning, catching up on some housework, lunch on the deck, naps for the boys (AND ME!!!), and then a fun-filled evening in Zeeland at Zeelmania!  Love, love, love summer!!!

They set up a sprinkler station.  The water was really cold but Aiden was all about it!  Gavin took some time to warm up to it but then joined in on the fun!  They had a blast running through the water!

Ending the evening with a big bag of kettle corn while listening to the Zeeland Community band.

Memorial Day

We went to the Hamilton parade again this year on Memorial Day!  The boys loved it and got tons of candy!!

Grandpa found a frog and let Gavin hold it.  He wasn't quite sure what to think of it at first but warmed up to it after a bit. 
After the parade we took the boys kayaking on the Pigeon River.  This was Gavin's first time and he LOVED it!  He kept leaning over the front of my kayak touching the water.  He did really well most of the four hours we were kayaking.  Towards the end he got a bit crabby but that was to be expected since he was tired and overdue for a nap.

Preschool Graduation!!

I can't believe Aiden graduated from Preschool tonight! He can't be old enough yet - can he??

He was SOOOO nervous about graduation. He takes after me because he was most nevous about being on stage and having so many people looking at him! We tried calming his fears each day until the graduation but we weren't sure that he was actually going to do it. He surprised us by doing exceptionally well!

Thanks to Uncle Jeff for watching Gavin so we were able to spend the evening with just our graduate!!
